Grand Thekkady Hotel Kumily, Kumily

The hotel has a beautiful exterior and is conveniently located for exploring the area. However, the internal condition of the rooms leaves much to be desired as they are poorly maintained and lack basic amenities. While the staff seems to work hard, there are significant issues with cleanliness that can't be overlooked.

The hotel has a fantastic location and the staff truly made an effort to be helpful, which I appreciate. However, the property is in dire need of renovations and cleanliness standards. My room had several issues, including seepage and bugs, which put a damper on my stay. Definitely not a place I would recommend for comfort.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the location was fantastic, close to the market and the bus stop for the Tiger reserve, the rooms were unfortunately quite neglected and not up to standard. The staff was courteous and welcoming, but the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. Overall, a beautiful exterior does not save it from the poor state of the interior.

My stay at the hotel was quite a mixed bag. On one hand, I was greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and the staff were really helpful, making sure I had all the information I needed about the area. The location is fantastic, very convenient for getting to the national parks. On the other hand, my room was disappointing and didn't feel clean or well-maintained, which really took away from the overall experience. I left wishing the hotel would invest in some necessary updates.
